Jared Juenger, Staff Writer

OHS Drama Club will be putting on its first-ever musical this spring.  Drama Club usually does a play, but this year the members, along with Mrs. Welch, decided to try something new.  What musical you ask… Mamma Mia!

Auditions were held on October 17th, starting at 5 p.m. The cast was posted the next day.  Mrs. Welch also typed a note that read that the decisions were very tough and that everyone who auditioned did very well.

Lead roles Donna and Sophie will be played by Marlee Frederking, senior, and Maci Wolf, freshman.  Supporting characters include senior Megan Schleifer as Tanya, junior Lucas Frederking as Sam, senior Brayden Miller playing Harry, sophomore Wilson Welch playing Bill, senior Anna Schmersahl playing Rosie, and freshman Jared Juenger as Sky.  Featured characters are Ali, freshman Hannah Miller, Lisa, freshman Megan Rennegarbe, Father Alexandrios, senior Jackson Heckert, Eddie, freshman Jacob Funk, and Pepper, sophomore Dylan Clark.

Along with the Mamma Mia cast, there is also a chorus.  The chorus includes seniors Grace Foster, Autumn Heberer, and Ashley Langestein, juniors Tricia Rennegarbe and Nick Rulevish, sophomores Kylie Langenstein, Alyssa Gavin, Sydney Tebbe, Elli Kremmer, and Cindy Snyder, along with freshman Paige Riechmann.  The chorus is still open to anyone willing to join.
