The Okawville Rockets traveled to Chester on May 5th to play one of the last conference games of the year. The Okawville Rockets’ bats went cold during the game, so they ended the game with three hits. Chester came alive in the fifth inning, putting them up 3-0. That was enough runs to keep them in the lead for the rest of the game. The Rockets lost to Chester 3-0. Braylen Turner, John Schaller, and Clay Maynard each collected one hit. The next game for the Rockets was Wednesday, May 7th, away at Nashville.
The Okawville Rockets traveled to Nashville to play their rivals on Wednesday, May 7th. Nashville started ahead in the first inning, collecting three runs. The Rockets did not answer with any runs and allowed two more runs in the next two innings. In the top of the fourth, the Rockets grabbed one run, but the defense did not hold up, and the Rockets gave up eleven runs in the bottom of the fourth. The Rockets lost 16-1.
