The Jr. Rockets recently competed in the Okawville Jr. High Boys Basketball Tournament from October 25 through the 29.  The annual tournament takes place here at Okawville in the Luechtefeld Gymnasium.

The boys played Albers for the first tournament game. In the first quarter, Okawville was down 9-6. At the end of the second quarter, Albers had increased their lead to 25-8. By the time halftime came around, it wasn’t looking good for the Jr. High boys basketball team. In the third quarter, they were down 29-14, and to wrap it up in the final quarter the Jr. Rockets lost 41-20 with a good fight against the Cougars.

The Jr. Rockets took another loss against Trico in their second tournament game. It was a good battle, but the boys just couldn’t pull it off. The final ending score was 44-33 with Trico taking the win.

On Friday night, the Jr. Rockets lost their final game of the Okawville Tournament against Bartelso.

The boys played Trico the following week on Thursday, November 4th. The Jr. Rockets outworked the Trico Pioneers to take the win.
