Boys Golf Kick Off Season

The Okawville High School team has officially begun their season with a lot of new incoming players this year. Returning players include senior Dillion Teter, juniors Riley Clark, Shane Klasing, Parker Lehde, Rylan Nelson, sophomores Hayden Heintz, Calvin Maynard, and Parker Wiese. The new members on the team this year are freshman Joseph Kinzel, Braxton Rennegarbe, and Jacob Shuetz. 

They started off their season by hosting Marissa and Freeburg and finished second with a team score of 177. Dillion Teter led the team with the lowest score of 41. The boys then traveled to Breese Central and played against them and Salem. There they placed third with a team score of 183. The leading scorer for the Okawville was Dillion Teter shooting a low score of 39.

The end of the boys’ golf team’s season is quickly approaching. The golf season is not that long with regionals coming right around the corner. The boys’ golf team begins regionals on September 28th at Gov Run, in Carlyle.
