Jr. Lady Rockets Finish Regular Season Undefeated

The Jr. Lady Rocket Softball team ends their regular season games undefeated with a record of 17-0. On Monday, September 12, the Jr. Lady Rockets defeated Nashville St. Ann’s 18-0. The Jr. Lady Rockets got things started in the first inning when an error scored two runs for the Jr. Lady Rockets. Lillian Cragen pitched for the Jr. Lady Rockets and she surrendered zero runs on two hits over four innings, striking out seven and walking one. The Jr. Lady Rockets were boosted by Schae Juenger who went 5-for-5 at the plate. The Jr. Lady Rockets tallied 14 hits in the game. Juenger and Brynn Rhodes each collected multiple hits for the Jr. Lady Rockets. The Jr. Lady Rockets didn’t commit a single error in the field.
The following day the Jr. Lady Rockets hosted New Athens. With Schae Juenger on the mound, the Jr. Lady Rockets shut down New Athens with a 12-0 victory. Juenger allowed zero runs on two hits, striking out seven and walking zero. The Jr. Lady Rockets collected 14 hits in the game. Brynn Rhodes led the Jr. Lady Rockets with three hits in four at-bats. The Jr. Lady Rockets had zero errors in the field.
On Wednesday, September 14, Kenley Hackstadt threw a no-hitter as the Jr. Lady Rockets triumphed over Centralia. The Jr. Lady Rockets won 14-2, and it was their 8th Grade Night as it was their last regular season home game. The Jr. Lady Rockets secured the victory thanks to nine runs in the first inning. Hackstadt allowed zero hits and two runs over four innings, striking out five and walking one. Rhodes led the Jr. Lady Rockets with three hits in three at-bats. After the game, everyone celebrated the 8th graders which were, Addi Hasheider, Brynn Rhodes, Cadee Wiedwilt, Jilien Harre, Kenley Hackstadt, Lillian Cragen, and Schae Juenger. They each received a gift from the coach and a gift from the 7th graders.
The Jr. Lady Rockets still had one more regular season game vs Breese on Thursday, September 15, Lillian Cragen pitched a perfect game to defeat Breese 18-0. Cragen allowed zero hits and zero runs while striking out two and walking zero. Kenley Hackstadt led the Jr. Lady Rockets to victory by driving in four runs and going 2-for-4 at the plate. The Jr. Lady Rockets notched six runs in the fourth inning. The offense was led by Schae Juenger, Hackstadt, Addi Hasheider, and Cragen, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning. The Jr. Lady Rockets racked up 15 hits in the game. Hasheider, Cragen, Juenger, and Hackstadt all managed multiple hits for the Jr. Lady Rockets. The Jr. Lady Rockets didn’t commit a single error in the field.
