Voice of Democracy Winners Announced

Raelyn Obermeier, Staff Writer

Every year the VFW hosts a competition for Juniors to write a Voice of Democracy essay. This year’s topic for Voice of Democracy was “Why is the Veteran Important?”. The winners are chosen by some of our local VFW. The winners of this essay were Lexy Borrenpohl, Raelyn Obermeier, and Lydia Luechtefeld. Each winner will receive a cash prize. Borrenpohl won $100, Obermeier won $75, and Luechtefeld won $50. Congratulations to our 3 winners!
