This school year is looking a little different around Okawville Grade School. We went back to how we’ve had our administration set up in past years. Mrs. Kim Howard moved to the grade school principal position. Last year she was the vice principal for both sides of the school.
I asked her what she was excited about this school year. She said, “I am excited about everything: working in the grade school position and working with Mr. Rakers and Mr. Senior. I love being able to work with all the new teachers and being able to work with younger kids.” The next question I asked was, what do you like about working with this administration? Mrs. Howard responded with, “I love the ideas that everyone has, the excitement of working with students and teachers, and the overall love from the community of Okawville.” The last question was, “What do you like about working in Okawville?” Mrs. Howard replied with, “The small community, I love being able to know all the students and teachers. I love not being able to see them in just school, but around the community also.” We are hoping that OGS has a wonderful year. Good luck Mrs. Howard!
