Another year, another success for the Okawville Music Program. On September 9th, 2023, the Okawville band and choir students held their annual carwash from 9:00 to 11:30 to raise money for the music program. This year they earned about $1,400 which is amazing for the music program and gives the music program more potential to grow thanks to everyone’s help. I asked Mr. Recker what he thought about this year’s car wash, “The car wash is a great team-building event and a great way for the music program to be a part of the community.” I am excited to see what the music department does with the money and the future car washes.
