Saturday, September 30th, the Art Club, FFA, and FBLA came together to paint a mural on the side of CBI. They chose CBI since it is a central location that people would see when they drive down Hanover Street on their way to the school, and it would allow the public to view it during the Chili Cook-off. When Mr. Kenow was interviewed, the first question that was asked was “How did this idea come together?” He stated that the idea was born through conversations among the teachers, administrators, and students. The idea was to improve the community and provide a project with many talents involved. This project was funded through the West Washington County Progress Initiative. This group is focused on improving the community and the school. Mr Kenow was asked, “How do you think the project went together?” He stated that he felt the project went amazingly well. Everyone participated and did their part. The FFA stepped up and cleaned the side of the building. FBLA came in and painted the white background on the wall and the Art Club came in with the final touches of putting it all together. Everyone who participated had faith in the project and in each other and knew that each part would be important. This is a great mural of our community and what it represents for everyone to see from the area and from out of town.
