On January 9, 2024, Mrs. Schleifer held an informational FASFA night with financial aid specialists to educate students and their families on the importance of completing FASFA, the changes made this year to the form, and to answer any questions regarding FASFA. Usually, FASFA is opened on October 1st, but due to changes to the form, it was soft-launched in December 2023 instead. The changes included shortening the form, calculating the family’s ability to contribute, ability to create an FSA ID without a Social Security Number, etc. OHS has been adamant about getting students to complete FASFA and has allowed the students and families to receive help to complete the form.
