This year’s ACES team consists of twenty-three members. On the varsity team, there are fourteen members, Annie Cullie, Sam Friess, Nora Wood, Claire Dulle, Cameron Radford, Sidney Charles, Aidan Anderson, Jenna Hackstadt, Caleigh Friedrich, Bella Welch, John Schaller, Aubrey Krieger, Sophia Wood, and Emil Galliano. On the JV team, there are nine members: Alexis Jarden, Kate Borrenpohl, Alivia Cochran, Aiden Parker, Addi Hasheider, Delaney Kuhn, Kaylie Behrman, Brynn Rhodes, and Calvin Maynard.
These members will take tests and compete against other students. The different topics the students can test over are English, Chemistry, Math, Physics, Biology, Computer Science, and Engineering Graphics. These students were put in these categories by taking a test, and based on the test, students were put on the varsity or JV team. T
he team is coached by Rhonda Hormann who teaches Biology 1 & 2, Anatomy & Physiology, and 8th grade science. I asked her about how many competitions we will compete in. She responded with, “We will possibly compete in three, but one for sure.” I also asked Mrs. Hormann how she thinks the team will do at the tournaments this year and she replied, “Of course, we’re gonna do great. We’re gonna take first.” Good luck to the Aces teams this year as they participate in the competitions!
