The ACES team headed to Kaskaskia College this Wednesday to compete against other schools in their Regional Competition. At these competitions, the team will take the test for the subjects they have studied for the past few weeks.
Okawville had many students who were placed individually. In Biology Claire Dulle and Sophia Wood tied for first and Emil Galliano earned third. In Chemistry, Claire Dulle and John Schaller tied for first. In English, Nora Wood was the only person from Okawville who placed, and she earned first. In Math, Emil Galliano placed first and John Schaller got second. In Computer Science, Sidney Charles and Bella Welch tied for first. In Engineering Graphics, Aidan Anderson placed first and Cameron Radford placed third. In Physics, Nora Wood was the only individual who placed in Physics and earned first.
The team overall placed first and will advance to sectionals that are held at SWIC on March 1st. Good luck to the team at sectionals!
