On Saturday, February 17th, OHS hosted their annual Sweetheart dance from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. Coronation started at 7:30, and consisted of: Mallory Bening (12) escorted by Aidan Anderson (11), Lexy Borrenpohl (12) escorted by Bennett Krohne (12), Kylie Going (12) escorted by Riley Clark (12), Taylor Hettenhausen (12) escorted by Shane Klasing (12), Tyne Moore (12) escorted by Reid Hemann (11), Raelyn Obermeier (12) escorted by Hayden Heintz (11), Lydia Luechtefeld (12) escorted by Calvin Maynard (11), Lauren Haacke (12) escorted by Nolan Frantz (11), and Madi Wienstoer (12) escorted by Rylan Nelson (12).
After all the candidates and their escorts walked up on the stage, the winners were announced, which were determined by the OHS students by ballot. The second runner-up was Raelyn Obermeier, the first runner-up was Lauren Haacke, and Lydia Luechtefeld was crowned Sweetheart Queen. After the coronation was over the students had a night full of dancing, friends, and fun.
