On Tuesday, April 9, the 8th grade class took their field trip to Springfield. While up there, students went and toured the capital building and spent two hours at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum. After that, they had lunch and visited Lincoln’s Home and Tomb. I interviewed 8th grader Katelyn Williams on what she thought of the field trip. She replied, “I really liked the trip. The museum was my favorite part. The display of Mary Todd’s dresses was cool. The tomb was also really cool. I also liked the shows we got to see at the museum because they were very informational.”
