This year, Okawville High School received two new teachers, one of them being the new math teacher, Bryson Potts. Mr. Potts attended Benton High School and was a 2013 graduate of Fontbonne University in St. Louis. In 2016, he began his teaching at DuQuoin High School where he coached golf and girls’ basketball, but he wanted something closer to his home in Albers. So, he decided to apply for a job teaching at Okawville because he heard great things about the students and staff here.
In his free time, Mr. Potts loves hanging out with his family and swimming. He has a four-year-old named Hudson and a 1-month-old named Jersey. Mr. Potts also loves everything sports. In college, he played one year of basketball and golfed for four years. We are so excited to have Mr. Potts this year and wish him a wonderful school year!
