The Okawville Wheat Festival is from Friday, September 13 through Sunday, September 15 at the Okawville Community Park. On Friday from 3-8 PM, entries will be accepted in the Exhibit Hall. The Okawville Yearbook will sell pies at their pie stand by the food stand and 4H ice cream stand. The concession stands will open at 5 PM Friday, and rides with wristbands or single-ride tickets will start at 5 PM until close. Friday night, the bags tournament and the pageant will begin at 7 PM. The outdoor stage entertainment for Friday Night will feature “Cheers Band” from 7:30 PM-11:30 PM. From 8 PM-11 PM, there will be Easy Street Entertainment under the metal pavilion where the Teen Dance will take place.
On Saturday, September 14, from 7 AM-8:30 AM entries will be accepted in the Exhibit Hall. The hall will close promptly at 8:30 AM on Saturday for judging to start. The 8th Annual Wheat Streak is at 8 AM Saturday. Registration for the Car Show in the high school parking lot will be at 10 AM. The Kiddie Parade will commence at 11 AM and the entries must meet at Streuter’s at 10:30 AM. Also on Saturday at 11 AM, the concession stands will open. The Classic Car Show will begin at noon on Saturday. The Young Farmers Activities and the Washer Tournament will start at 1 PM. Registration for the Washer Tournament is at noon. The Local Talent Show will be on the outdoor stage at 2 PM. The Antique Tractor Pull starts at 2 PM at the Immanuel School Lot. At 2 PM, the Exhibit Hall reopens. Rides with wristbands or single tickets earlier in the day will be open from 2 PM-5 PM on Saturday. The Venedy Band will play from 4 PM-6 PM on the outdoor stage. From 5 PM-10 PM is BINGO in the metal pavilion. Rides with wristbands or single tickets will reopen at 6 PM and close at 10 PM on Saturday. The outdoor stage entertainment for Saturday Night will feature “The Red Jackets” from 7:30 PM to 11:30 PM.
On Sunday, September 15, concession stands will open at 11 AM. The Class of 2026 at Okawville will be selling lemon shake-ups starting at noon on the parade route before the parade begins. The Large Float Parade with marching bands will start at 2 PM. The theme this year is Mother Nature’s Phenomenon. Okawville FFA will have a float in the parade. The Okawville Marching Band will also be in the parade. The Exhibit Hall will open after the parade. Rides with single tickets will go from 3:30 PM-7:30 PM on Sunday. Art Club will be face painting for a couple hours. The Okawville High School Band will perform at 4 PM on the outdoor stage. BINGO will take place in the metal pavilion from 4 PM-9 PM. The outdoor stage entertainment for Sunday night will feature “Boulderdash” from 5 PM-8:30 PM.
