On Tuesday, August 28th, the Jr. Lady Rockets were supposed to have a game against Carlyle. Unfortunately, the game was canceled due to weather conditions, but rescheduled to Thursday, September 12. Not to worry, because the girls are still excited for the upcoming games this season!
The Jr. Lady Rockets played against Pinckneyville at Pinckneyville on Thursday, August 29th. Emmerson Hasheider scored 1 run, 1 hit, and 1 RBI. Josephine Schmersahl scored 1 run off 1 hit. Ashlyn Steinkamp assisted the team with 1 run. Emmy Tepe batted 2 times. Kylie Klingenberg scored 2 runs on 2 hits, and 1 RBI. Peyton Harris also played very well with 2 runs on 2 hits, and 1 RBI. Blakely Buss had 1 run and 1 RBI. Lydia Waltrip batted 1 time. Lillian Klingenberg had 1 RBI. Addysyne Borrenpohl scored 1 run. Finally, Haleigh Carrico scored 3 runs and 2 RBIS. Lillian Klingenberg pitched for the Jr. Lady Rockets. The end score was 9-0. The Jr. Lady Rockets will compete against Aviston on September 3rd.

On Saturday, September 7th, the Okawville Jr. Lady Rockets compete against Trico at Trico. It was a doubleheader for the girls, but they still played their hardest in both games. First off in the game against Trico, Emmerson Hasheider scored 3 runs on 2 hits. Josephine Schmersahl had 4 runs on 3 hits, and 3 RBIs. Ashlyn Steinkamp scored 2 runs on 1 hit, and 2 RBIs. Kylie Klingenberg scored 2 runs on 2 hits, and 1 RBI. Blakley Buss had 1 hit. Delaney Viehl scored some lucky ones with 1 run on 1 hit, and 1 RBI! Peyton Harris had 2 hits and 1 RBI. Lillian Klingenberg batted 3 times. Haleigh Carrico, Emmy Tepe, and Oliva Bergmann all batted twice. Finally, Lydia Waltrip batted once. The Okawville Jr. Lady Rockets won 12 to 0 against Trico. They played against Chester after their game against Trico.
