On Friday, September 27, seniors had a meeting in Mr. Dudeck’s room about the upcoming Presidential Election. During this meeting, a County Clerk came in to help Seniors who will be 18 by the election register to vote on November 5. She also sent out a paper asking for help working the polls on election day. The county opened it up for 17 and 18-year-olds to work all day so students can gain experience on election day and its inner workings. Many seniors signed up to work from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Election Day. The workers get many benefits that day, including the experience of working at an election poll while getting paid $200 for the day. There will be a class for students who signed up to work on October 10 to show them to basic equipment used and how to work the station.
