On Monday, October 7, the Rockets had a cross-country meet in Red Bud. The girls’ and boys’ teams won first place at Run in the Bud Invitational last Monday. Additionally, eight runners medaled in the top ten. In the boys’ race, William Tepe placed tenth, Ryker Obermeier placed ninth, and Kaden Beuhler placed eighth. In the girls’ race, Sophia Wood placed eighth, Katelyn Gogolek placed fifth, Kaylee Wolf placed fourth, Sidney Charles placed third, and Caroline Tepe placed first with a time of 19:51. Caroline Tepe also broke the course record at this meet. The record was previously held by Chloe Tepe with a time of 21:08. Tepe broke that with a time of 19:51.
