The Junior High Cross Country ran a meet at Albers/Damiansville on Thursday, September 5. This was their second meet of the season, and they were ready to run their best! In the girls’ race, Kylie Klingenberg placed 4th and got a time of 12:57. Penny Herzig also had a good race with 14:24, and placed 16th. Other runners from Okawville included Amelia Riechmann (23rd), Emma Gray (25th), Lily Klingenberg (32nd), and Aubrey Lange (37th). In the boys’ race, Ransom Lugge placed 11th and got a time of 12:41. Other runners included Caden Capecchi (40th), Brenden Krieger (50th), Judah Crabtree (56th), and Adam O’Malley (57th).
The Junior High Cross Country also had a meet on Thursday, September 12 at Okawville. For the girls’ race, Jayleigh Cooley placed 9th and got a time of 13:02. Emma Gray also had a good time with 13:16 and placed 13th. Penny Herzig was right behind her at 14th place with a time of 13:32. Other runners were Amelia Riechmann (26th), Aubrey Lange (28th), Lydia Waltrip (31st), Aubrey Charles (35th), Mallory Epplin (36th), Korrynn Schutte (37th), Cambrie Hesker (45th), Maylen Kramper (48th), Kinley McGranahan (49th), Lucy Pille (67th), Skylar Wilfong (68th), Leann Waltrip (69th), and Lydia Stine (76th). For the boys’ race, Ransom Lugge placed 5th and got a time of 11:47. There were no other Junior High boys listed for this meet.
