From Wednesday, October 16 to Thursday, October 17, the teachers at Okawville had the nights they had been preparing for: Parent Teacher Conferences. During Parent Teacher Conferences, the teachers met with the parents of the students from each of their classes. The teachers had to stay after school from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday and Thursday. Mrs. Stine explained, “What makes parent-teacher conferences hard is that it’s a late night away from my daughter, so I start to miss her. But I do like them because I love meeting people’s parents. After all, me being someone who didn’t grow up in Okawville, it’s really nice for me to have facetime, meet new people, and build relationships.” On Friday, October 18 the staff and students got a day off to rest from the stressful days of the conferences.
