The JV volleyball team played in the Greenville Tournament on Saturday, October 12. There were a total of nine teams in the tournament. There were three pools with three teams in each pool. Okawville was in Pool C along with North Mac and Wesclin. Okawville’s first match for pool play was versus North Mac. They defeated North Mac in three sets. They won the first set 28-26. They lost the second set 25-16. They won the last set 15-7. Then, they faced Wesclin, the other team in their pool. Okawville lost to them in three sets. Okawville lost the first set 25-21, won the second 25-22, and lost the last set 15-8. After pool play finished, Okawville played Christ Our Rock Lutheran High School. Okawville lost in three sets. They lost the first set 25-21, won the second 25-16, and lost the last set 17-15. For the Rockets’ previous match, they took on Metro East Luthern. Okawville had more energy in this match and won in two sets. They won the first set 25-11 and the second set 25-17. Overall, their record was 2-2 this tournament. Their next tournament was on October 19 at Wood River.
