Okawville is welcoming a new school counselor, Ms. Halie Krohe. Ms. Halie is open and easy to talk to, which are key qualities to have as a counselor. Having a school counselor is important so students can have someone to talk to and be heard. It is also important to help students know they are not alone in their struggles. One goal of hers is to make sure students know she is available to help. She is at school all day, and her office is found in the library. Another goal of hers is to be able to schedule regular appointments with any student, no matter their insurance. She would describe herself as “bubbly and spunk.” If you need some help, Ms. Halie wants you to know she is here for you, and don’t hesitate to talk to her if you need to!
