The Start of Boys’ Basketball Season

The high school boys’ basketball season is about to start. This year, 21 boys are playing basketball. There are 12 boys on the varsity team. The seniors on varsity include Aidan Anderson, John Schaller, Calvin Maynard, Parker Weise, and Thor Gavin. Ryker Obermeier and Landen Shubert are the juniors on varsity. The sophomores on varsity include Braylen Turner, Zayden Cepeda, Kaden Buehler, and Clayton Maynard. Ayden Foley is the freshman boy on varsity. On the JV team, there are 11 boys. The sophomores on JV include Zayden Cepeda, Kaden Buehler, Clayton Maynard, Blake Carrico, and Gabe Charles. Ayden Foley, Teren Schwankhaus, Bennett Schuetz, Ethan Hewitt, Aidan Killion, and Wesley Blanford are the freshmen on JV. This year’s coaches are Ryan Heck, Payton Harre, Cameron Obermeier, and Ethan Riechmann. The boys opened their season at the Carlyle Thanksgiving Tournament on Saturday, November 30.
