February has just begun, which means it’s time for Art Club’s annual SPLART Night! SPLART Night is a one-time-per-year event for kids in Kindergarten-6th grade where they can get a chance to paint for an hour and a half after school. Mr. Kramer, the Art Club advisor and art teacher, had said, “SPLART night is my favorite night of the year. I love seeing all the kids in the school come together to create a unique and rewarding experience for all.” Everything needed is provided for the kids, including canvases, paint, brushes, and some snacks. SPLART Night will be held on Wednesday, February 12 from 3:00-4:30 p.m. It was $25 for entry, and approximately 120 kids signed up. Every year there is a different theme for the paintings. This year, the kids will get to paint their own unique monster inspired by the children’s book “Love Monster.” There will be two special blow-up monsters at SPLART Night, who will be there to create some mischief. Mr. Kramer also added, “I would like to thank everyone who helps and participates in SPLART night. It is a successful event that I hope continues for a long time.”
