On Sunday, February 9th, the Okawville Lion’s Club hosted its annual Super Bowl BBQ at the Legion. It was a drive-through only, running from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. They offered pork steaks, brats, and pre-ordered ribs. They also had sides with German potato salad, slaw, and applesauce. The money raised from this usually gets donated back into the community, but haven’t decided on where to donate the money yet. Also, many students from OHS volunteered, this year Thor Gavin, Jenna Hackstadt, Claire Dulle, Caroline Tepe, and Lily Helbig helped out.
