On February 22, 2025, the Okawville Spanish hosted its yearly Sweetheart Dance. This year’s theme was “Be My Valentine”. The stage was decorated in lots of pink, red, and purple, with lights hanging down. There was also another area decorated with Japanese Cherry Blossom Trees where students could take pictures. The Spanish Club provided fruit snacks, candy, and waters for every who attended. Coronation for Sweetheart queen was held at 7:15 and was open to the public. The queen was selected by being the person with the most votes from the student body. Alyssa Statler, who represented Science Club, won Sweetheart queen. Congrats Alyssa!
