The Lady Rocket softball team had their first full week of softball games last week. They started the week on Monday, March 24, playing the Mater Dei Knights. They started this game strong but sadly lost in the end 8-7. The following day, they played Trico and got their first win of the season, defeating Trico 12-2 in a short game. On Wednesday, March 26, they played Valmeyer High School, but due to a storm, they had to play at Waterloo High School. They defeated Valmeyer 13-0, ending the game early due to a short game. Unfortunately, the next day, they fell short to Marissa/Coulterville 10-7.
The next week, all the games were cancelled due to storms and rain. But the following week, they had two conference games on Tuesday and Thursday. Both games were played against Carlyle High School. On Tuesday, the game was played at Okawville, and the varsity team came through strong, defeating the Carlyle Lady Indians 12-2. This game ended early in the fifth inning with a short game. On Thursday, the Lady Rockets played at Carlyle, and sadly, the game had to end early because of a storm coming through Carlyle. Since they played through the fifth inning, the game counted as a whole game, and they unfortunately fell short 8-7.
