The varsity members of our school’s ACES team set off to sectionals on Friday, March 7th. Students at sectionals are given a range of topics on which they can test, including Math, English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Technologies, and more. In this sectional, students are given 40 minutes to take a test in a range of questions depending on the subject of the test. All students take two tests on different topics and await their results to see if they place. The overall team scores are also collected. Okawville placed 3rd overall and had many individual student medals, including Caleigh Freidrich with 1st place in Biology, Aiden Parker with 1st place in Chemistry, Sidney Charles with 3rd place in Chemistry, and Aidan Anderson with 2nd place in Engineering Graphics. All students who medaled went to State on April 14, and placements haven’t been announced yet.
