On Monday, April 14, the Okawville Rockets took the field against the Woodlawn Cardinals. The Rockets kept Woodlawn scoreless in the first inning, and answered well with a single run in the bottom of the first inning. The Rockets went into the second inning up 1-0. The second inning was slow and scoreless, but the Rockets answered in the bottom of the 3rd inning, scoring 4 runs. The Rockets kept Woodlawn scoreless till the 6th inning, when they gave up 1 run. The Rockets beat Woodlawn 9-1. Hayden Heintz had 3 hits in 4 at-bats. Aidan Anderson also had 3 hits. John Schaller and Kaden Buehler both collected 2 hits.
On Tuesday, April 15th, the Okawville Rockets traveled to Red Bud. The Rockets had no offensive action but scored off a walk in the 4th inning. The Rockets let up 5 runs in the first inning and 4 in the third. The Rockets lost 11-1 in 5 innings.
On Wednesday, April 16, the Rockets took on Red Bud on their home field. The Rockets took the lead after the first inning, going into the second inning up 1-0. After that, Red Bud took charge and scored 9 runs in the top of the second, and there was no coming back for the Rockets after that. The final score after 5 innings was 14-1, Red Bud.
The Okawville Rockets were going to play a doubleheader at home against Gibault on Saturday, April 19, however, the games got rained out.
