On April 9, six students went with Mr.Berg and student teacher Rhett Handcock to Springfield to the Capitol. The six students were Lillian Helbig, KateLyn Borrenpohl, Hunter Kolweier, Madison Gogolek, Katie Gogolek, and Andrew Bunch. At the Capitol, they thanked the elected officials for supporting agricultural education and FFA. In addition, they handed out goodie baskets and lunch to their elected officials. They visited with Senator Ram Villivalam, Representative Robert Rita, Deputy Majority Leader, and Brian Burian, Chief of Staff for Senator and Republican leader John Curran. They also stopped by State Senator Jason Plummer’s office and State Rep Charlie Meier.
