This year, Okawville Jr./Sr. High has a new history teacher, Mr. Jackson Pierce. Mr Pierce grew up here in Washington County and attended Nashville High School. During his time at Nashville, he ran cross-country and track. After high school, he attended Greenville University, where he continued to run track. Once he graduated, he received a job at Bluford Webber. But he wanted to come here because he says, “We are the best.” Now, Mr. Pierce, his wife, Hannah, and their two-year-old son, Hesston, reside in Okawville. Mr. Pierce has also decided to step up and take the position as a coach of Track and Field. Mr. Pierce was asked what he was most excited about this year. He said, “New year, new place, new people, and getting involved in the community.”
