Mrs. Jessica Mammel is one of the newest additions to the OHS staff. Mrs. Mammal is the Student Success Coach. She originally worked as an aide at Okawville, but when the opportunity arose, she decided she would be a great fit for the position. She received her associate’s degree from Rend Lake College and attended Southern Illinois College Edwardsville to achieve her bachelor’s degree. Currently, she lives in Nashville with her husband and multiple pets.
Mrs. Mammal is a safe space and is open to every student in 1st through 12th grade. She opens her office to any student who needs help, mentally and emotionally, inside and outside of school. Mrs. Mammel has time for anyone and everyone who needs it. She wants people to come to her if they are struggling with any situation. Especially if students need someone to talk to and get help for something they might not feel comfortable telling another administrator. You can visit Mrs. Mammal if you need guidance, somewhere quiet to calm down, if you’re struggling with school or home, or if you need somewhere quiet to read. Okawville is excited to offer this new opportunity to any student, in the hope that she can help talk through problems and provide solutions and a safe space. We are excited to see the positive impact Mrs. Mammel will provide at Okawville.
