The High School Cross Country team had a meet on Tuesday, September 16, at Sparta. There were a total of 10 teams, including Okawville, at this meet. First was the boys’ race. Ryker Obermeier (12th) placed 3rd with a time of 17:47.7. Gabe Charles (11th) placed 6th with a time of 18:27.4. Kaden Buehler (11th) placed 12th with a time of 19:32.5. Ransom Lugge (9th) placed 14th with a time of 19:36.9. Clay Maynard (11th) placed 18th with a time of 20:30.2. Brenden Heizer (9th) placed 31st with a time of 22:09.8. Zander Hasheider (12th) placed 39th with a time of 26:52.0. Brett Henderson (9th) placed 41st with a time of 32:37.0. The boys’ team placed 2nd overall at this meet. After that, the girls’ race started. Caroline Tepe (12th) placed 1st with a time of 20:33.7. Katelyn Gogolek (10th) placed 4th with a time of 21:51.8. Caroline Tepe (12th) placed 3rd with a time of 19:31.80. Kaylee Wolf (10th) placed 51st with a time of 23:08.50. Katelyn Gogolek (10th) placed 69th with a time of 23:55.90. Sophia Wood (11th) placed 110th with a time of 27:05.70. Madisyn Rennegarbe (12th) placed 124th with a time of 28:17.30. Taylor Statler (10th) placed 137th with a time of 29:37.50. Lucy Pille (9th) placed 163rd with a time of 33:55.10. Skylar Wilfong (9th) placed 168th with a time of 34:59.90. Following the girls’ race, the boys’ race began.
