OHS Holds Honor Induction Ceremony for Many Students

On Sunday, October 5th, at 7:00 p.m., the honor induction ceremony took place. Several Okawville High School students were inducted into the Quill and Scroll Society, Tri-M, Mu Alpha Theta, and the National Honor Society. The evening started with Mr. Rakers addressing the students, congratulating them on their hard work and dedication that it took to get into these various clubs. The first group was the Quill and Scroll Society. Mrs. Donovan inducted Katelyn Gogolek, Aubrey Krieger, Madisyn Rennegarbe, Carly Schmidt, and Caroline Tepe. Next up was Mr. Recker with Tri-M. New members are Madeline Dulle, Kenley Hackstadt, Jilien Harre, Addison Hasheider, Ellyson Hesker, Hutson Hudgens, Laney Hundelt, Ellie Simonton, and Delaney Viehl. Following Tri-M was Mr. John with Mu Alpha Theta. He inducted lots of new members this year, including Justice Altenbaumer, Jared Bollmeier, Gabriel Charles, Lillian Cragen, Madeline Dulle, Katelyn Gogolek, Sophia Going, Kenley Hackstadt, Caleb Hagarty, Addison Hasheider, Julianne Helbig, Rodney Helbig, Clayton Hermanns, Laney Hundlet, Lexie Kohnen, Aidan Killion, Gunner Malott, Clayton Maynard, Savanna Meyer, Isabella Muniz, Bennett Schuetz, and Braylen Turner. Lastly, were the inductions for the National Honor Society led by Mrs. Schleifer. The inductees were Kaden Buehler, Jilien Harre, Addison Hasheider, Izzabell Howard, Schae Juenger, Ryker Obermeier, Aiden Parker, Brynn Rhodes, and Sophia Wood. That was the conclusion of the ceremony; pictures were taken of the new and previous members. There were also cupcakes, cookies, and drinks for the members and their families. It was a great night!
