The Junior High Girls’ Volleyball Team started their season on February 4. There are four different teams. There is a 5th-grade team, a 6th-grade team, a 7th-grade team, and an 8th-grade team. The 8th-grade team also competed in a tournament the weekend before. On February 4, the Junior High Girls’ Volleyball team played the Aviston Eagles. Both rocket teams played well, but it wasn’t enough to beat the Eagles. The 7th-grade team lost in the third set, while the 8th-grade team lost in two sets. After their games, the Rockets knew they needed to win their next match. The Rockets second game of their first week was at Lebanon against the Greyhounds on February 6. These games were way more exciting for the Rockets. Both 7th and 8th grade teams won their games, both winning the game in the second set.
The second week for the Rockets started on February 11, against the Germantown Bulldogs. Germantown had somewhat of the same skills as Aviston, but that wouldn’t stop the Rockets. The 7th-grade team won in the third set, but the 8th-grade team lost in the third set. Even though the 8th grade lost their game, they worked hard on the court. The other game that happened during the second week of their season was on February 13, against the St. Rose Wildcats. This was an away game at St. Rose. The 7th-grade team won their game in two sets, while the 8th grade also won in two sets. Good luck on a good season!
