The high school girls basketball team is doing fairly well this year for being such a young team.  They are currently 7-9. This past week they lost two very close games to Freeburg and Mater Dei.

Mater Dei a very good team, who has not lost many games, only beat the Lady Rockets by 12 with the final score being 59-47.  Freeburg another good team, who only lost to Mater Dei by 3 points, beat the Lady Rockets 37-35.

The Lady Rockets did pick up a good win this week upsetting the Greenville basketball team 47-43. The team is very excited about this win and they are hoping this carries them to many more victories this week.  I asked Junior Chloe Kraus how she feels about the win against Greenville. She replied with “I think this is a very good win for our team and I hope the energy from this win carries over to our other games this season.” The Lady Rockets play Gibault on Tuesday at Gibault.
