The Rocket Golf team was back at home on September 23 with a macth against the Mater Dei Knights.  Unfortunately, they would fall to the Knights in this match. Leading this m

atch for the Rockets was Dillon Teter with a 38, followed by Dylan Clark 43, Lucas Frederking 47, Carson Wiese 48, Levi Traub 49, Brock Fuhrhop 52, Cole Wiedwilt 52, and Will Shubert 53.

The next day on the 24th the Rockets were home again this time against Breese Central.  The Cougars would take this match over the Rockets 158-168. Scoring for the Rockets this game was Brock Fuhrhop 42, Dillon Teter 42, Levi Traub 44,

Lucas Frederking 45, Carson Wiese 48, Cole Wiedwilt 49, and Will Shubert 50. The next match was Senior night for Okawville where they would honor seniors Will Shubert, Mason Meyer, Brock Fuhrhop, Lucas Frederking, and Carson Wiese.  The Rockets completed this match with a win against Red

Bud and Sparta.  Dillon Teter scored a 36, Dylan Clark 37, Levi Traub 40, Carson Wiese 43, Lucas Frederking 44,  Will Shubert 48, Brock Fuhrhop 48, Mason Meyer 49, Cole Wiedwilt 49.

Now it was time for the Regionals which took place in Okawville on October 6. Teams in the Regional this year were Mater Dei, Althoff, Okawville, Wesclin, Nashville, Christ our Rock Lutheran, Pinckneyville, Du Quoin, Sandoval, and Waltonville. Unfortunately, the Rocket team could not make it all out together as they shot 336 putting them at third place behind Althoff 299 and Mater Dei who won 289.  Individually, though, one Rocket golfer made it out and that was Dylan Clark who placed 10th overall and s

hot an 81.  Also shooting for the Rockets were Carson Wiese 84, Levi Traub 85, Lucas Frederking 86, Brock Fuhrhop 88, and Dillon Teter 91. I asked Senior Lucas Frederking how his senior golf season went and he replied with “It was long and windy, hard to hit a ball straight it felt like.”

Clark moved on to the Class 1A Zeigler-Royalton Sectional on October 13th. Good luck to Dylan, and Congratulations on a great season Rocket Golf!
