This past summer Mr. Keith Senior moved to the Superintendent position. Mr. Leon Spinka moved from Grade School principal to Junior High School/ High School principal and Mrs. Amanda Ganey took his spot as Grade School principal. Mr. Spinka started his career in education here at Okawville High School. He was a biology teacher at Marissa for a few years. Then, he came to Okawville and became the Jr. High and High school principal. After that, he went on to become the grade school principal.

This past summer Mr. Spinka came back to this side to take over for Mr. Senior. Mr. Spinka said, “Not many people know that I have been all over the building and haven’t just been a grade school principal as most people know me as.” He also said, “ It feels like a complete circle because I will be ending where I started.”

This will be his 15th year at Okawville.
