Getting Ready for Life After High School

Raegan Luechtefeld, Assistant Editor

The Senior Class met with the OHS guidance counselor, Mrs. Schleifer on Friday, September 10 to talk about their plans for next year. They were handed a piece of paper that was to be turned in on the following Friday. On this piece of paper they filled out their intended major and college, what they needed help with in order to get to where they want to be, what they have done to prepare for college and life after high school, and other information to help Mrs. Schelifer prepare the seniors for their next step. The sheet also gave the seniors information on certain topics such as how many credits they need to graduate, when to fill out the FAFSA, and the classes they are required to pass in order to graduate. Finally, they were asked about what they are most looking forward to after high school and what they are most nervous about. Their parents were also asked about their concerns for their child after high school. These questions will help Mrs. Schleifer learn more about her students and help them have successful lives after high school.
