During Wheat Feast weekend on the 19th of September, several talented individuals performed at Okawville’s annual talent show. The afternoon started with a blast from a dance to Dynamite by 2021 Okawville FairQueen Marlee Frederking, along with contestants Emily Bening, Megan Cook, Kathryn Lohman, Anna Schmersahl, Grace Gutjahr, Grace Foster, Sabrenna Bodendieck, and Miss Okawville Fair 2019-2020 Queen Tiffany Thompson. Next up was 2021 Jr. Miss Evelyn Kurtz, along with contestants Olive Swoboda, Charlotte Jacobs, Penelope Lintker, Daya Siliven, Meredith Sprehe, Kallee Shubert, Paisleigh Quillman, and 2019-2020 Jr. Miss Sage Hackstadt singing God Bless America.

Next up was a piano solo by Charlotte Lintker to the song Fur Elise. For the next performance, a dance duet to Fancy Footwork was performed by Caleigh Friedrich and Ella Behn. Next on the stage was Annie Lintker performing a piano solo to Haunted Mouse. Then Maci Wolf and Paige Riechman sang a duet to Fly, by Maddie and Tae, accompanied by the guitar played by Maci.

Next to the stage was Sophia Wood playing a piano solo to How Does a Moment Last Forever, from Beauty and the Beast. Our next performer was Maliah Riechmann doing a jazz dance solo to Call Me Back. Then up was Katie Forgy performing the song Riptide by Vance Joy. She sang and played the ukulele, on which she is self-taught. Also on stage was Anna Carr, who performed a dance solo to Pulse.

Welcomed to the stage next was Hudson Schneider, who performed a piano solo to I Just Can’t Wait to be King. Returning to the stage, Maci Wolf sang and played the guitar to Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors. Our next performer was Landan Pierce, and he played The Easy Winners by Scott Joplin, published in 1901. The final act of the day was the Junior Choir from St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Okawville singing Walk in the Spirit of Love, Magic Penny, and Thy Word.  Each contestant was rewarded with a free soda.  Overall, it was a great show with amazing talent!
