Sophomore Class Rings

Madisyn Wienstroer, Staff Writer

On September 7, a representative from Jostens gave a presentation to the sophomore class about class rings and their importance. The rep spoke about how getting a class ring is a personal choice and the unique process that goes into making each individual piece of jewelry.

Every student is allowed to customize their own ring by adding their choice of metal, style, color, symbols, and wording. The sophomore class was given the chance to order a new style of ring that came out this year from Jostens exclusively. A ring isn’t for everyone, which is why Jostens also offered personalized necklaces and letterman jackets too.

If students were to order from Jostens a week from his presentation, they were able to receive a free backpack or earbuds with their order. \

Jostens is a highly regarded company. Many pro sports teams use Jostens to design their Super Bowl, World Series, NBA Championship rings, etc. This is Okawville’s first year partnered with Jostens, and the rings will be in by Christmas of 2021. Many students are excited to see their personalized rings! Class rings are a great way for generations of students to always remember their time while at high school, allowing them to look back at all their accomplishments and hopefully bring back memories.
