The Lady Rockets went 10-3 in their regular season. They had a great season with a lot of wins. They were supposed to play Tuesday, September 21, but it was canceled due to inclement weather conditions. Therefore the game was played Wednesday, September 22, instead.

On Wednesday, they played Steelville/St. Marks. The ladies caught an early lead and rattled their bats the whole game. They played awesome defense and fought the whole game to win 10-0.

They went on to play Marissa at Marissa on Thursday, September 23. The team wasn’t ready from the start and Marissa scored four runs in the first inning to make it 4-0. The Jr. High Lady Rockets defense was decent, but Marissa kept rattling their bats the whole game. Marissa would continue to score one or two runs almost every inning. Okawville Jr. lady Rockets ended up scoring one run with Lily Helbig hitting a solid line drive to right field and ended up scoring due to a passed ball.

I interviewed a player from the game, Rylan Senior, who played left field and 3rd base during the game. She said, “The season went well, but we all had our times of playing bad.”  Rylan also stated, “We could have played better, but we tried our hardest, and we had fun and that is all that matters.”

The Rockets started picking it up in the 6th inning, but it was too late. In the 7th inning, they got the bases loaded and scored one due to a hit to the 3rd basemen. The final score ended up being 8-2 with the Lady Rockets fighting until the end. The Jr. Lady Rockets had a great season and ended with an 11-4 record.
