New Artwork in the Art Hallway

Alyssa Gavin, Staff Writer

In the Art Hallway, located by the art room, you will see some fantastic works of art. All art classes are currently featured in the hallway. When I asked Mr. Dan Kramer, the art teacher at OHS, what the students were working on, he told me the art the students created is called a zentangle, or patterned project. Each student chose an outline of something, then filled in the empty spaces with different patterns. This project was part of their line and shape unit. Sadly, the art pieces are about to be taken down, but the art the students will be working on soon will replace the zentangle projects.

The advanced students are currently working on Thematic Art. Each artist chose a theme to present, and they are creating artwork tying to their themes using different media, like pencil, paint, and digital. Each student has their own preference but is encouraged to use other types of media to expand their horizons.
