Mu Alpha Theta is a mathematics honor society for higher-level math students in the US. Every year OHS inducts new members who have reached the criteria to be in the club. This year the club added a total of 23 new members in addition to a new supervisor, John Laughlin. With that, we also gained new officers including President Zoe Todd, Vice President Sydney Tebbe, Secretary Erin Nilles, and Treasurer Alyssa Gavin.

With all of the changes that have occurred, Mr. Laughlin is looking to rebuild Mu Alpha Theta back up to where it once stood. The club has picked up concession stands to pay for funds and some of the expenses of the club’s t-shirts. Being a part of this club is an honor for many students because of all of the hard work it took to get there. Every year the school holds an induction ceremony for all of the new members and present members of the honor society to attend and allows them to show all that they have worked hard for to be inducted into that club.
