Art Club Gets OJSHS in the Halloween Spirit with Drawlloween

Rylan Senior, JH Staff Writer

Once again, the Art Club is putting on a Drawlloween contest at Okawville Jr/Sr High School. The number of people drawing varies, but there are normally around 25-30 drawings entered per week.

If you choose to compete, you must draw a picture according to the week’s theme then turn it into a box near the Art Room. The deadline for the drawings is at the end of each week on Friday. Anyone can enter, including the staff! As the drawings get turned in, they are hung above the water fountains on Jr. High side of the building downstairs. I asked Mr. Kramer, “Why do you like doing this?” and he answered by saying, “For fun honestly. Halloween is a fun time of year and creating Halloween art is FUN. Also, all students who participate receive a sweet treat.”

The theme of the first week was monsters and the second week was vampires. There is a new theme each week so keep entering your drawings!
