Earlier this month, the boys’ basketball team started practicing. The Rocket basketball program consists of three different teams: varsity, junior varsity, and fresh/soph. The schedule this year is back to normal after last year’s shortened season due to COVID-19.  The varsity team’s first game will be held on Saturday, November 27, in the Carlyle tournament. Okawville will be competing against the Pinckneyville Panthers. The Rockets are hoping to pull out the victory!

The fresh/soph team’s first game was held in the O’Rena on Monday, November 22, also against Pinckneyville. The Rockets fell short, 36-68. The fresh/soph team’s next game will be held at home on December 2, against Red Bud.  Good luck to the Rockets as the kick of their season!
