Okawville High School had its Christmas concert on December 12th. The crowd was full of family members and friends. The jazz band, chorus, and band all performed four songs each. The concert lasted about an hour and the band threw in a skit on their last song Jingle Bells Upside Down. For the jazz band, there were a number of solos. In String Of Pearls – Paige Riechmann and Kristen Althoff, Azule -Calvin Maynard, B is for Blues – Paige Riechmann and Kylie Langenstein, and in Doctor No-el – Laura Cook and Nora Wood. For the chorus, Alyssa Gavin and Laura Cook had a solo for the song Into the Unknown. Then finally for the band,  All Is Calm – Nora Wood (Piano),  Isabella Rader, Alyssa Gavin, Jacob Segelhorst, and Kylie Langenstein.  The concert was a success and got everyone in the mood for the holiday season!
