On December 12, 2021, Okawville Jr. High had its Christmas concert. The Jr. High chorus sang four songs and the Jr. High band played four songs. The songs the chorus sang were: Nutcracker in 3 minutes, Once Upon a December, Somewhere in My Memory, and Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow. The songs the band played were: At the Feast of Stephen, I’ll be Home for Christmas, Drummers Christmas Carol, and Holly Jolly Christmas.

Mr. Reed Recker is the Jr. High band and chorus director.  “Overall, I think the concert went very well,” said Mr. Recker.  He stated, “I was really impressed with both the band and choir.”  Students put a lot of time and effort into these songs and put on a great performance.  “The fun part about music is not only the concert, but the memories made while rehearsing for the performance,” Mr. Recker explained.  The Jr. High concert could not have gone better and was a great way to get the community in the holiday spirit!
