Art Club Holds Annual Splart Night

Rylan Senior, JH Staff Writer

On Wednesday, December 8th, Mr. Kramer and the Art Club hosted SPLART night for grades K-6. SPLART night is a painting night. The students each receive a canvas with a pre-drawn image on it. They then paint it however they want. They play music and have an all-around great time. The students painted Santa on a canvas. When I asked Mr. Kramer what made him start doing SPLART night he said, “I started doing SPLART the first year I taught at the high school. My goal was to create an art event that included all students from Kindergarten through 12th grade.”  He first started doing SPLART night during the 2013-2014 school year and still does it today. These nights are a great time for kids of all ages to practice their artistic skills and have a great time.
